Homemade Cream of Chicken & Mushroom soup


Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup
T. flour
T. butter
T. powdered dry milk
c. water
1/2 t. onion powder
t. instant chicken bouillon granules or chicken base (the McCormick Chicken and Beef Base from Costco doesn't have MSG in it-yeah!)
1/2 c. finely chopped cooked chicken (optional)


Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium high heat. Add flour, stirring with wire whisk. Add water and dry milk and whisk until smooth and thickened. Stir in onion powder, bouillon and chicken. Serve or freeze for later use.

Homemade Cream of Mushroom Soup

T. flour
T. butter
c. milk
t. instant beef bouillon granules or beef base
1/2 c. finely chopped mushrooms


Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium high heat. Add flour, stirring with wire whisk. Add water and dry milk and whisk until smooth and thickened. Stir in bouillon and mushrooms. Serve or freeze for later use.

Melt the butter and flour over medium heat until combined.
Add the powdered milk, water, and bouillon and mix until smooth. Add chunks of chicken and seasoning and voila, homemade cream soups!

Add to your favorite meals, use as a soup base, or put in your freezer for later.
